Behaviour
At Aughton, we believe;
Every Minute is for Learning
Learning academically, learning as an individual and learning to be part of the community.
We know that good behaviour and academic achievement go hand in hand. With our behaviour systems in the academy, we want to empower our pupils to make responsible choices, which will allow them to succeed and achieve their full potential.
Aughton Values
Through our academy values, our pupils are familiar with the expectations of behaviour during the academy day and how to demonstrate positive attitudes towards learning and other people. We use the Zones of Regulation to support pupils to understand how they are feeling and equip them with the skills to respond to conflicts when they arise. We know that it is impossible to eliminate conflict, however our children will be prepared to tackle this with confidence if it does arise.
We want our pupils to feel supported and listened to, which is part of the behaviour management at Aughton, by working together harmoniously within the academy and the community.

Anti-Bullying
We have work The Anti-Bullying Company in Rotherham to raise the profile of anti-bullying in our academy to support the children to understand what it means, what to do when they think it is happening to them or another person.
In 2023, we achieved the GOLD Anti-Bullying Award from the Anti-Bullying alliance through collaboration and commitment. We are looking forward to welcoming Ann Foxley-Johnson into the academy to continue working with us this year.
